Nearly 700 master's, full-time and doctoral students graduated from our University in January 2021! We welcomed them to the circle of ELTE Graduates with a gift and all our recent graduate students received a congratulatory letter from ELTE Alma Mater encouraging them to register.
For the second time, university students graduated online. Unfortunately, in view of the epidemiological situation, the graduation ceremonies did not take place, which means that career entrants received their diplomas in the mail.
Once again, we have sent a tangible, thoughtful gift – a gold plated ELTE Alumni insignia badge with the University crest to some of the students who had to continue their studies online for almost a year - to master's, full-time and doctoral graduates, as well as to graduates of faculties, where master's degree programs are not available yet (Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education).
Thanks to a sponsorship, the graduates of the Faculty of Science could receive their gift once again – a pin placed on the postcard, without touching the university budget.
We are grateful to our generous alumni, dr. József Béres (Faculty of Science, '77), who used this opportunity and sent out a powerful message to the graduates:
"You owe a responsibility to the world with your talent and knowledge.
You are on the right path when you enrich your intellectual treasures with unwavering diligence, and use it for noble purposes, for the good of mankind!"
Although the graduation ceremony had to be cancelled, keeping our traditions, we are waiting for all our alumni who have graduated now or previously to participate in our Instagram game until March 15, 2021!
