CANCER TREATMENT METHOD DEVELOPED BY ELTE STUDENTS WINS A GOLD MEDAL
The team of students pursuing their studies at ELTE Faculty of Science received a gold medal at the world’s most prestigious biotechnology competition for the super bacterium they developed, which may be able to identify and also destroy cancerous tissues. The system named NanoBlade has already attracted the attention of investors, so there is every chance that the idea of the students doing their Master's in biotechnology may be used for some medicine in the future. With their excellent performance at the world competition, they not only placed the Hungarian biotechnologist training at the forefront of the world but due to their solution the time window between the diagnosis and therapy of cancer may be significantly reduced.
